PR Public Relations
Hello,
Yes, I even know
a little about PR! I have used Public Relations and obtained stellar
results for non-profit and for profit businesses. I have had a story
placed on CNN, and the other networks picked it up from there
(beginners luck and a compelling story helped)!
I place PR for clients
primarily in business journals, trade magazines and websites. If you would
like to leverage the press the process is very similar to any marketing
campaign, except it has to be news worthy and you have to target it to the
right people.
Honestly, I do
not do this everyday but it's just another very effective weapon that I
have in my marketing tool kit to assist my clients with.
The components
of a successful PR program
Geographic Targeting - Where should you deliver your
news release? Is it a local, regional, national or world story or would it
be industry specific. Every business is different so we start by discussing your
business and then we research the proper media to target.
Copywriting - Writing a great press release is an art form
because you cannot sell (if you want to be published)
you must have a news worthy story or be able to tie your story to some
current events that are going on. These are challenging and time consuming
projects but the payoff can be huge for example...
I once delivered a client
over $50,000 in coverage (if he had purchased the ad space) for a $5,000 investment. We then included the articles in his
information package and that took his credibility to a whole new level.
Distribution - Again
using the right vendor for the right project is critical, the wrong
delivery system can keep your message from being published.
Project Management - Making sure your public relations project comes
of without a hitch is my primary objective then, we can leverage the
exposure into more exposure and credibility for your company, product or
service.
You have more
important things to attend to every day so having a competent project
manager who is working on your behalf is critical, and I am here to fill
that role for you.
