What do you think about Pastor Terry Jones?

Terry Jones is the Florida Pastor that’s in the news, he wants to stage an anti-Islam protest on the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks. My question is he doing this because he wants the PR or that this is how he honestly thinks and feels? Can this stunt change people’s views on Islam? I think it’s absurd and am glad to see the world community condem his plans. What do you think? How can we bridge this gap between faiths? How will you remember Septemeber 11th this year? – Please use the comment button to share your thoughts…

Shake It Off & Step Up

Shake it off and take a step up
author unknown

You can be buried alive by the dirt life throws at you
You can shake it off and step up
What seemed like it would bury him, actually blessed him… All because of the manner in which he handled his adversity. If we face our problems and respond to them positively and refuse to give in to panic, bitterness, or self-pity… the adversities that come along in life usually have within them the potential to benefit and bless us!

Please share your story about a time when you helped someone or where helped by another.

Whenever I meet someone who asks for money, I tried to give unselfishly. One day I had gone to pick up my friend at the O’hara Airport in Chicago and I went outside to smoke a cigarette waiting for his plane to come in. All of a sudden a young man had approached me stating that his ATM card was not working and he needed $$$ to catch a cab.

Well, I was not sure if I was taken for granted but said to him,” Here is the money you need and the only thing I ask is that you help someone else out without any doubt.” The guy looked at me with teary eyes (o.k. I know men don’t cry) and he could not believe I was willing to give him money to help him out.

I reminded him that to pay forward one day as I have done today. Why did I do that? I just remembered how those special guardian angels had come out of nowhere to help me when I was in dire straights and well it felt good to help one of GOD’s kids.

That gesture was probably the true highlight of my friend’s visit in which I was looking so forward to seeing him and enjoying his company. The visit was good, but truly the real joy was that act of kindness. By Mary S., Great Lake, IL

The Diet Paradox

Click here to listen to Free Audio – The Diet Paradox (eating this way helped me shed 50+ pounds in 2009-and I was never hungry) – Did you know that in 2010, 7 out of 10 Americans are expected to be overweight? When I read this I couldn’t believe it.

This means that whatever we’re all doing to help us get thin isn’t working… at all!

The positive news about this is that 3 out of 10 have the answer. They know some things that we all could learn.

What the thin have to say may surprise you. Losing weight isn’t about starvation diets, pills, supplements or counting calories.

It’s actually much easier.

Bestselling author and nutritionist David Wolfe says the answer to lasting weight loss has been right under our noses the whole time. Click here to listen to Free Audio You have nothing to lose but those extra pounds!
